Tribunal de Justiça do Estado de São Paulo or Courts of Justice of São Paulo state is the largest Courts of Justice in Brazil with nearly 100 million judiciary processes under the responsibility of Iron Mountain.
Business need
Since the impact of COVID-19, the court saw that there was a need for the digitisation of physical court processes, improving information security and the management of data.
The court saw a need to requisite equipment/software that promoted agility and productivity in court proceedings.
Solution
Iron Mountain provided the customer with the service of scanning and digitising around 370 million images of court lawsuits over a period of 2 years with 210 thousand documents indexed monthly. Documents are picked up from over 290 locations, scanned at Iron Mountain’s secured facilities, and then returned to these 290 locations. Traceability and security systems were implemented during the transportation phase to ensure that documents can be monitored in real time and protected.
On top of the digitisation services performed by Iron Mountain, we also provide the storage of selected documents in our secure facilities.
Results
With Iron Mountain’s service, the customer was able to accelerate the digitisation of their physical documents with assured chain of custody through secure transportation and scanning methods.
